Suggestions wanted for participation in the thank-you event for volunteers

The city of Jena would like to thank volunteers for their commitment with a thank-you event on December 2, 2025 at 5 p.m. in the historic town hall. We are still looking for suggestions. All citizens, initiatives, clubs and associations are cordially invited to nominate people who have volunteered or have been volunteering for other people and the common good in the past year or longer. This also includes those who work in the background. A cultural program is planned, followed by a reception.

The volunteers will be invited directly by the Lord Mayor. Whether the invitation is actually extended will be decided on the basis of the number of proposals submitted.

Proposals can be sent to: ehrenamt@jena.de by 07. 11.2025. Please include your name, address (private or e.g. club address, if forwarding is guaranteed) and a brief note on the volunteer work of the nominee.

Proposals for who should be awarded the Jena Volunteer Card can also be submitted until Friday, October 31, 2025. The volunteer cards will be presented during the thank-you event.
