The background
From 2001 to spring 2008, KoKont was sponsored by the Protestant Church, financed mainly by federal funds until mid-2007. Since the end of the Civitas funding period, the sponsorship has been financed from municipal funds. Since 2008, sponsorship has been in the hands of Bildungswerk Blitz e.V., a youth education association and recognized youth welfare organization. Since then, there have been regular calls for tenders for funding. The current tender is published Europe-wide due to the size of the tender.
