Time to act
At its last meeting, the Board of the Municipal Senior Citizens' Advisory Board of the City of Jena (KSenB) dealt with the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and noted the rising infection and occupancy rates in intensive care units with great sympathy and dismay.
We would like to express our dismay at this development in this press release.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who are devoting their full efforts - and more - to fighting the pandemic.
This is exemplified in the open work with the elderly, i.e. in the six meeting facilities and the three counseling centers under different sponsorship as well as at Tausend Taten e. V. Vaccination is important to them in order to be able to continue their work for the elderly. The corresponding infection protection concepts ensure that the necessary services are provided.
The KSenB also supports the city of Jena in projects to help the elderly, such as the Local Alliance for People with Dementia, ALTERnative and Agathe, as these projects also raise awareness and provide information about vaccination.
Obviously, all the appeals, all the calls, all the offers and all the persuasion work have had little success with those who are willing to be vaccinated. For this reason, the KSenB considers it logical and imperative to support measures to close the vaccination gap in the city of Jena in the current precarious situation.
Vaccination means protecting health and human life!
Get vaccinated!
