Top sporting performances in the spotlight

They are experts in floorball, archery, cycling, handball, wrestling, table tennis, basketball, swimming, field hockey, triathlon, badminton, obstacle courses, orienteering and athletics. And they are German champions or were among the front runners at European and World Championships. At the Jena Sports Gala on March 2 in the Volkshaus, young people, men and women will be honored in a total of seven categories for their exceptional sporting achievements over the past year. The event is organized by the city sports association together with the city of Jena.

In addition to the best male and best female athlete, the most successful young talents and winning teams will also receive prizes. Awards also go to coaches and people who have made a special contribution to sport in Jena.

At the gala, the focus will be on the athletes, their achievements and successes and their voluntary commitment. The awards will be accompanied by sporting performances presented by Jena clubs and music from a DJ. In a festive setting, representatives from politics, business and the media will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the Jena sports world. Athletes can also use the event to network and exchange experiences.

All sports enthusiasts are cordially invited to this event. The admission price of 25 euros includes a ten euro food voucher.
