Traffic relief in the city center

In order to relieve the currently very tense situation in road traffic due to roadworks as quickly as possible, the following traffic adjustments will be made from Tuesday, 14.05.2024:

1. Erbertstraße (access to Ernst-Haeckel-Straße): Due to restructuring on the construction site, the current full closure of Erbertstraße will be lifted until further notice. Road users can now use Erbertstraße in the direction of the Ernst-Haeckel junction. The flow of traffic can be better distributed.
2. Engelplatz: For road users driving from Grietgasse towards Engelplatz, the traffic lights will be optimized so that traffic can flow more quickly.

Reminder:

As already reported in last week's construction site report, the Teichgraben will be fully closed from 14.05. to 16.05.2024 . During the closure period, the surface course will be installed in the bus stop area.

Road users who want to drive in the direction of Leutragraben can bypass the full closure via Holzmarkt and Grietgasse. The traffic lights at Engelplatz will be optimized.

The road closure will then be continued on one side again, probably until 24.05.2024.
