Transport from Jena to Bila Tserkva, Ukraine

On Monday evening, 12.5.2023, the delivery of an ambulance (KTW) to the Ukrainian town of Bila Tserkva near Kiev started from Jena. The ambulance, worth approximately €50,000, was financed through the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). The city of Jena was responsible for the transport of the vehicle.

The delivery of the KTW marks the end of the cooperation between the city of Jena and the Ukrainian city of Bila Tserkva within the framework of the GIZ project.

Already at the beginning of the year, the city of Jena delivered five smaller and four large generators for power generation to the Ukrainian city, also financed through the GIZ project.

In the future, Jena will focus primarily on cooperation with the Ukrainian city of Brovary, also near Kiev. Jena has maintained a solidarity partnership with it since October 2022.

A five-member delegation from Brovary is expected to visit Jena in the first week of June 2023.
