Unanimous decision for the Future Center

After the state of Thuringia decided to support Jena's application for the Future Center for German Unity and European Transformation, the Jena City Council has now also voted unanimously in favor of Jena's application. This means that two key conditions for a successful application in the location competition have been fulfilled.

Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche says: "We can tell a story of successful transformation in Jena that people would like to tell. Of upheavals, but also new beginnings. With the University of Jena, we have a strong partner with an excellent scientific profile. The state government's decision and the unanimous city council resolution are important signals: Jena is a force to be reckoned with."
