Volunteer judges wanted

The City of Jena is seeking applicants for the position of honorary judge to participate in the chambers for matters pursuant to Section 51 (1) No. 6a SGG (matters of social welfare including matters of integration assistance for people with disabilities and the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act) at the Altenburg Social Court.

Appointments are made by the President of the State Social Court on the basis of the City of Jena's list of nominees. The term of office is five years.

Only those who are German and have reached the age of 25 may hold this office. The honorary judges should live in the district of the Social Court, to which the city of Jena belongs, and for inclusion in the list of nominees of the city of Jena in Jena.

Applications are possible from now until 28.02.2026.
