Volunteer judges wanted for the Gera Administrative Court

The City of Jena is looking for honorary judges for the Gera Administrative Court. The term of office begins on 10.11. of this year and lasts 5 years.

The Administrative Court is responsible for all matters in which citizens appeal against administrative decisions. The honorary judges have the same voting rights as the professional judges. They receive financial compensation for their work. The number of honorary judges is calculated in such a way that they are expected to attend court sessions for a maximum of 12 days per year.

Applicants must be German citizens, have reached the age of 25 and reside in the city of Jena. In addition, the applicant must not be employed full-time in the public sector. Legal knowledge is not required.
