Warning of high risk of icy roads in Jena

An official severe weather warning is in place for today, Wednesday, from 1 pm. The German Weather Service warns of a high risk of icy conditions in the Jena region due to freezing rain and heavy ice. Initially, snowfall is to be expected, which will then change to freezing rain.

All traffic routes are expected to be affected. Citizens are asked to be particularly careful on the roads and to avoid unnecessary journeys.
