Your day in paradise: The Children's and Family Festival and Environment Day will take place on 14.05.2022 in Jena between 13:00 and 18:00. All guests big and small are invited to a colorful afternoon on Jena's Rasenmühleninsel. Together with the Jenaer Bündnis für Familie, Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck, Barmer and the Department of Urban Development and Environment, JenaKultur is looking forward to a wide range of offers, a great stage program and many enthusiastic participants. Admission is free.
Children's and family festival with fun for young and old
Numerous companies, daycare centers and clubs from Jena and the surrounding area have once again registered for "Your day in paradise" with a wide range of offers and are putting in a lot of effort for our guests: colorful crafting streets, obstacle courses, playful competitions, experiments, recycling activities, climbing boxes, rowing machines, walking acts - the list of activities is long and does not end here. The exciting information stands on topics such as nutrition, health, sport, society & city or club work can also be found on the meadow! There's something for everyone here - not just for our youngest guests!
Environment Day under the motto:
"Naturally protect the climate: Preserve moors, forests and seas!"
Whether climate, nature or resource protection, sustainability or renewable energies - the 24th Environment Day will once again cover a wide range of environmental topics. Visitors of all ages will not only be able to obtain information at the stands of numerous associations and initiatives, there will also be crafting, discovering, researching and puzzling. You can make seed balls, take a close look at water samples or calculate your individual CO2 footprint. And if you want to make a broken device work again in the interests of sustainability, you can get help at the Repariercafé stand. There is also the opportunity to have your bike coded (tip: you should have your proof of purchase with you).
Or how about building an insect nesting aid? These small animals need our support and attention.
That's why the city, together with Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck, has also launched the Children & Youth Environmental Award on the subject of insects and wants to know: "Who has seen the brown bear?" We look forward to receiving many applications by 20.06.22
Wanted: Jena's sportiest family
BARMER is once again looking for Jena's sportiest family this year. In an obstacle course, active people can show what they are made of and will be rewarded for their efforts at the end! A special highlight is the first-time combination of the Paradies offer with the MaikäferTour: numerous sporting activities will be offered to all children in Jena throughout the day in cooperation with Sparkasse Jena-Saale-Holzland and McDonalds. It starts with a short bike tour in the morning from the meeting point McDonalds Lobeda to the event location Rasenmühleninsel Jena. There, the youngest and the young at heart can try their hand at the goal wall, basketball hoops and other stations.

The colorful supporting program with many local partners provides fun and action for the whole family. Of course, there will also be plenty to eat and drink. In addition, the festival stage will once again be filled with a great supporting program. We look forward to performances by great actors & ensembles, among others:
