Invitation to the Environment Day on June 17

Under the motto "Repairing instead of throwing away", jenawohnen and the KSJ cordially invite all interested parties to an Environment Day at the Kreatives Baubüro (Stauffenbergstraße 10). On Monday, 17.06.2024, from 3 to 5 p.m., the focus will be on waste avoidance, resource conservation and sustainability.

In the morning, the focus will be on primary school pupils from the Kulturanum School. They will learn everything they need to know about the correct way to dispose of recyclables at a station. In the afternoon, everyone is invited to take part. Do you still have old or broken appliances or objects at home that are just taking up space? Then come along and get active: repairing, upcycling, swapping or selling is the order of the day.

The Repariercafé Jena will be on hand with an information stand to present creative upcycling ideas and give repair tips. The ADFC Jena-Saaletal also offers free bicycle coding. All you need is your bike, proof of purchase and your identity card.

Anyone who has always wanted to see the KSJ's large vehicles up close and live in action will also get their money's worth. Anything that can no longer be salvaged on this day or that does not find a new owner will be disposed of by the KSJ directly on site.

At various information stands, you can also find out about sustainable topics, refresh yourself and try things out for yourself.
