Survey launched on the subsequent use of the old indoor swimming pool
What will happen to the old indoor swimming pool at Karl-Marx-Allee 9? This is the subject of a survey now launched by the city of Jena. The building has been empty since the new indoor sports pool opened. Initial ideas and wishes have already been expressed in various places as to how the former swimming pool could be used. The city council intends to examine various options and the associated costs in the near future. Before that, however, the public is being asked. In a short online survey(link is external) over the next six weeks, citizens can indicate which target group should definitely be considered for the subsequent use and what kind of offer - whether sporting or cultural - is desired.
"We want to involve the population in the process as early as possible so that the building remains a place for the residents of Jena," emphasizes Mayor and Head of Urban Development and Environment Christian Gerlitz.
Based on the results, the preferred usage options will be examined and further participation steps planned.
