Overview of traffic restrictions - 8.1.2024
+++As of 11:15 a.m.+++
The extensive blockades at central access roads to highways or the city's main roads, such as Stadtrodaer Straße, have been dissolved.
The city of Jena had previously issued a general order to disperse the blockades. However, as the blockades had dispersed independently, this general order did not have to be issued.
There may be restrictions later in the day due to tractor and truck parades in the city area or on the roads to/from the surrounding area.
Disruptions to bus and streetcar services are still possible. Bus routes 17 and 47 and the regional bus routes are still particularly affected.
+++as of 10:15 a.m.++++
There are currently traffic restrictions on the following roads due to tractor blockades:
- Freeway access roads to the A4 in Lobeda and Göschwitz, backlog also on the freeway in both directions (Dresden/ Erfurt)
- Stadtrodaer Straße, now with a more relaxed situation and traffic getting through again
- Access roads to the industrial estate in Lobeda and Göschwitz
- B88 - Maua slip road, with tailbacks in the direction of Rothenstein
- Erfurter Straße in the direction of Erfurt
The assembly management of the city of Jena is on site.
Rescue routes not kept clear
Rescue routes are partially not kept clear. The city of Jena appeals to the demonstrators to ensure the safety of people and to form rescue lanes. There is a risk of fines and proven criminal sanctions if rescue routes are blocked. This also applies to the passage of e.g. dialysis patients and ambulances without a signal horn.
Significant disruption to bus and streetcar services
Due to the strikes of the German Farmers' Association this Monday, January 8th, and the additional actions with obstructions of the traffic routes, there are currently (07:30) considerable impairments on all lines of the Jena public transport and the JES transport company. The regional bus routes and bus route 17 are currently particularly affected. You can read the latest disruption information directly on the passenger information pillars at the stops and from Jenaer Nahverkehr(link is external).
