Corona situation picture for Jena
The health department was notified of 45 new SARS-CoV-2 infections on Monday, 02/02/2021 (by midnight). 18 people have recovered. Unfortunately, two more deaths were reported. This brings the number of people who have died in Jena as a result of Corona disease to 43.
The new cases are widely distributed among various individual incidents. A positive case was reported from another senior citizens' home. The team of the specialist health service has started further investigations there.
The search for the chains of infection of the cases of the British mutant B.1.1.7 has not yielded any further findings or subsequent cases. Investigations into the case of the South African variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus B.1.3.5. are continuing. So far, no subsequent cases have become known.
