Since 01.10.2024, the City of Jena has had five departments instead of four. As a result, the organizational structure on the website will be revised and updated by the beginning of 2025.
Department 2 consists of the following areas
- Finance department
- Citizen Services department
- Municipal Order Department (Public Order Office)

- Staff unit Commissioner for Smart City

Driving license authority team
Keeping/maintaining/updating the local driver's license register and processing driving license transactions are among the main tasks of the Driver's License Authority team.

Enforcement team
The enforcement of public-law monetary claims of the City of Jena in accordance with ThürVwZVG i.V.m. AO and the enforcement of the City of Jena's authorized civil law monetary claims in accordance with § 42 ThürVwZVG are among the team's main tasks.

Family Service Team
Maintaining the Family Information Point and processing federal parental allowance are among the main tasks of the Family Service team.
