The Jena City Council meets next Wednesday (19.05.) in Presence

As before, the city council meeting will take place in the Great Hall of the Volkshaus.

"The requirements for the publicity of digital committee meetings according to the new Thuringian municipal code are very high. With such a large number of participants, this has led to difficulties in the technical implementation, which could not be solved quickly enough." said Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche.

In order to enable a smooth meeting with valid resolutions, the city leadership decided to hold the meeting in presence.
In addition, the falling infection figures also make it possible to hold the meeting in Präsenz again, in compliance with hygiene regulations. With rapid tests to be conducted in advance and digital contact tracking, the city council can meet safely.

The city council begins on 19.05. at 17 o'clock. A live broadcast will take place via Jena TV and can also be followed on the website of the city of Jena (www.jena.de).
