New closures / obstructions

Burgauer Weg, cycle path

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: at the level of the access road to the Jenaer Nahverkehr site
• Duration: 02.12. - 20.12.2024
• Reason: Replacement of the sewage pressure pipes
• Details: The detour is via the cycle paths running parallel to Stadtrodaer Straße and Lobedaer Straße. Streetcar traffic and access to the Sparkassen-Arena will not be affected.

An der Brauerei, passageway/underpass

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Passageway to Paradise
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works (drinking water pipe)
• Details: A replacement footpath runs along the streetcar route in the direction of the Vor dem Neutor underpass. Cycle traffic will also be diverted here

Carl-Zeiß-Platz

• Type: Complete closure

• Reason: Renovation and new construction of the German Optical Museum

Carl-Zeiss-Promenade

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: Level with Lichtenhainer Straße
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Connection of the district heating pipeline and various media
• Details: A traffic light regulates the traffic. Lichtenhainer Oberweg and Lichtenhainer Straße are closed to through traffic.

Dammstrasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of pipes and renewal of the road surface
• Details: A detour will be signposted. The construction work is divided into two construction phases:
  2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

3x Dornburger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure + sidewalk closure
• Location: between Nordschule and An der Eule
• Duration: until 30.04.2025
• Reason: Reconstruction of the streetcar catenary system

Forstweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: below the railroad bridge
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: New construction of a pressure reducing shaft for the drinking water supply
• Details: Traffic is permitted up to the construction site.

Friedrich-Engels-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Junction with Wöllnitzer Straße to junction with Kernbergstraße

• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: The detour via Jenertal - Kernbergstraße will be signposted.
  1st construction phase: until 23.12.2024: between the junction of Wöllnitzer Straße and the junction of Am Kochersgraben
  2nd construction phase: Beginning 2025: Between the Kochersgraben junction and the Kernbergstraße junction

  Bus route 16 Mühltal - city center - Ziegenhainer Tal is also affected by the closure. A shuttle service with minibuses via Burgweg and Ziegenhainer Straße will be set up.

Border road

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Junction with Geraer Straße up to the railroad bridge
• Duration: until 30.04.2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: A detour will be signposted.

Isserstedter Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from house number 21 to the junction with Zum Ziskauer Tal
• Duration: The work in the entire district of Lützeroda will last until the end of 2025
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: The detour will be signposted.

Jägerbergstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the Pfarrgasse junction to the Am Heiligenberg junction
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering work (medium voltage cable)
• Details: A detour will be signposted. The construction company will inform residents about the accessibility of their properties. The part of Jägerbergstraße that many people currently use to bypass the closed B88 federal highway is not affected.

Kahlaische Straße, footpath

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 4 in the direction of Sandweg
• Duration: until 30.01.2025
• Reason: Demolition work
• Details: The closure can be bypassed via Sandweg and Felsenkellerstraße. A detour will be signposted.

Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 49 - 87
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Maintenance work in the road/track area
• Details: The streetcar platforms will be cut from 18 - 29.11.2024. Traffic obstructions are to be expected.

Kernberg district

• Type: Traffic restrictions
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Fiber optic expansion

Kirchplatz

• Type: Traffic restrictions
• Location: City church surroundings
• Duration: until 30.12.2024
• Reason: extensive construction work
• Details: Access to the town church will be guaranteed during the entire construction period. Saalstraße will be fully closed to transit/delivery traffic.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Fröbelstieg and Max-Wien-Platz
• Duration: until 31.01.2025
• Reason: Civil engineering works and construction site transportation
• Details: The construction site can be bypassed via Helmholtzweg.

Lichtenhainer Oberweg

• Type: Full road closure in sections
• Location: Tatzendpromenade junction to access to the P10 Zeiss parking lot
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of district heating pipeline
• Details: Diversions will be signposted via Friedrich-Körner- and Döbereinerstraße or Philipp-Müller-Straße.

Löbdergraben, east

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Steinweg and Lutherplatz
• Duration: until 23.12.2024
• Reason: Roadworks and media relocation
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via the following route Am Eisenbahndamm - Am Anger - Lutherplatz. The sidewalk on the eastern side of Löbdergraben is closed, the opposite side is free. Traffic will be diverted through the bus stop area in the direction of the Fürstengraben junction. Caution: The streetcar has priority when entering the track area from Löbdergraben.
  
  The road surface is being renovated in two sections:
  2nd construction phase from 18.11.2024 to 06.12.2024: northern carriageway in the Lutherplatz area.

Löbdergarben, footpath

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At the junction with An der alten Post
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Renovation of the city sewer/storage of building materials
• Details: Access to the adjacent house and business entrances is possible at all times.

Löbichauer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Karl-Liebknecht-Straße and Eschenplatz
• Duration: until 13.12.2024
• Reason: Work on sewage, drinking water and gas pipes as well as basic road construction
• Details: The sidewalk will be rerouted.
• Addition: Löbichauer Straße will be fully closed up to Eugen-Diederich-Straße until 13.12.2024. The detour will be via Im Ritzetal.

Max-Wien-Platz

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Max-Wien-Platz / Lessingstraße / Kritzegraben intersection
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Renovation of combined sewer
• Details: From the direction of Nordfriedhof, Philosophenweg is passable up to the junction with Berghoffsweg. Lessingstraße and Kritzegraben cannot be accessed. Coming from Straße des 17. Juni, you can drive in the direction of Kritzegraben and turn off there. Other destinations - e.g. Lessingstraße or Philosophenweg - are not possible due to the above-mentioned closure.

2x Mühlenstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 48 - 100
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Work on the electrical line
• Details: The detour is via Lichtenhainer Oberweg. The area above can be accessed via Lützowstraße - Wildenbruchstraße.
  
• Type: Half-sided closure with one-way street regulation
• Location: At house number 21
• Duration: until 15.12.2024
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The one-way street will only be set up in the immediate construction area and can be driven on from Kahlaische Straße in the direction of Hermann-Löns-Straße.

Münchenrodaer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the Münchenrodaer Grund junction
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Fiber optic expansion
• Details: In the direction of Münchenroda, the roads Münchenrodaer Grund and Am Mühlberg can be used. From Am Mühlberg a traffic light regulates the traffic.

Nollendorfer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: fundamental road renovation

Remderoda

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Road in the direction of Remderoda
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of drinking water pipe
• Details: A detour via Münchenroda will be signposted.

Richard-Zimmermann-Straße

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: in the direction of Drackendorfer Weg
• Duration: until 20.12.2024
• Reason: Laying of medium-voltage cable
• Details: During the construction period, the road is only passable in one direction.

Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house numbers 8 - 30
• Duration: until 24.04.2025
• Reason: Reconstruction of wastewater sewer

Schroeterstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from Strigelstraße to Forstweg
• Duration: until 31.12.2024
• Reason: Fundamental road expansion
• Details: During the construction period there is no connection to Katharinenstraße.

Wiesenstraße, traffic circle

• Duration: until 29.11.2025
• Reason: fundamental redesign
• Details: Access to Kunitz and the adjacent industrial estate is only possible via Brückenstraße, but not via Wiesenstraße. A wide detour is signposted via Am Anger - Dornburger Straße - Camburger Straße. An emergency footpath to Kunitz and in the direction of Naumburger Straße leads past the roadworks.

Wöllnitz
