Corona situation picture for Jena

10.05.2021

The health service has reported 4 SARS-CoV-2 infections to the Robert Koch Institute on Sunday, 09.05.2021 (until 24 h).14 persons have recovered.

Background to the infections

The infections are distributed between the professional and family environment. In a day-care centre, one group is in quarantine after a child tested positive. In a senior citizens' facility, a positive case has been reported. Further smear tests are now being organised.

Counting of incidence figures for relaxations / tightenings

A tightening of measures occurs when an incidence value threshold has been exceeded for three days in succession. On the day after the next (day 5), the tightened measures take effect. This includes workdays as well as Sundays and public holidays.

Measures are relaxed if an incidence value threshold is not reached for five consecutive working days from the day after the more stringent measures take effect. The relaxed measures take effect on the day after the next (day 7). Saturdays count as working days, Sundays and holidays do not count and interrupt the continuous counting.

Click&Meet in Jena would therefore be possible again on Friday, 14.05.2021 at the earliest if the incidence remains below 150.

Information for vaccinated and recovered persons - certificates will be sent out by the health department

Over the weekend, a new federal regulation went into effect, according to which further relaxations take effect for vaccinated and recovering persons.

A person is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the second single dose (Biontech, Moderna, AstraZeneca) or 14 days after the last single dose (Johnson&Johnson). In a recovered person, one administered dose of vaccine is also sufficient.

  • One must be in possession of a vaccination card issued to the person (and should also carry an identification document).
  • In Thuringia, the possibility of a digital vaccination certificate is to be introduced soon.

Persons are considered to have recovered if their Corona disease occurred at least 28 days and a maximum of 6 months ago. The recovered person must carry a proof with him. This can be a positive PCR test (also at least 28, max. 6 months old) or a medical or official certificate based on an infection confirmed by PCR. Proof of an antibody test for convalescents is not sufficient.

At the beginning of the week, the Health Department will send a certificate to all recovered persons reported in the Jena statistics from the last 12 months, which can be used as proof.
