The Department of Health reported 25 new SARS-CoV-2 infections to the Robert Koch Institute on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 (by midnight). 100 persons were classified as recovered. One case was subsequently transferred to another local authority, bringing the total number of infected persons to 4,286 (+24 cases).

Background to the infection

In a home for the elderly, further smear tests are organised after two positive PCR test results. The other cases are distributed among individual incidents in the family and professional environment.
