Corona situation picture for Jena: 101 new infections
On Tuesday, 28 December, the Health Service reported 101 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).
Background to the cases
In addition to numerous subsequent cases in families, which also affect many children, an increasing number of younger persons (80s and 90s) are currently among the cases. For the outbreak reported yesterday in a retirement home, 6 positive cases have been reported so far. The smear campaign is still ongoing. Further follow-up cases in other senior citizen and community facilities have not yet been reported.
