Ageing Smart - results of the survey

In September last year, the Department of Urban Sociology at the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University of Kaiserslautern-Landau conducted a survey of 50 to 75-year-olds in Jena . The everyday life, living situation and perceptions of baby boomers and related age groups were examined. 876 citizens, or 29% of those contacted, took part in the survey. Prof. Dr. Annette Spellerberg and Benjamin Stefan will report on the attachment to the city of Jena, relocation wishes and reasons, satisfaction with the apartment, the residential area, the opportunities and facilities on site, leisure activities, dealing with digitalization and wishes for living in old age.

The survey was conducted as part of the "Ageing Smart - designing spaces intelligently" research project, for which the city of Jena was selected as one of seven model municipalities. The aim is to support cities and municipalities in planning and coordinating their services.
