Summer competition of the Jena youth fire departments on 17.06.2023

The city of Jena hereby invites you to take part in the youth fire brigade competition on 17.06.2023 on Rasenmühleninsel/Jena. The competition is organized by the youth fire departments of the city of Jena and promises to be an exciting and eventful event.

Schedule of the summer competition

The competition will take place with around 80 talented children and young people from the youth fire departments in Jena. The event will begin at 08:30 with a welcoming address by Benjamin Koppe, Head of the Safety Department. The team relay race starts at 09:00. Teams of 6 children and young people will compete against each other and complete technical firefighting disciplines. The team that completes the tasks the fastest and reaches the finish line will be crowned the winner.

The team relay race is followed by individual races in which the fastest youngster is determined. At the same time, the youth flame test level 2 takes place, in which the participants demonstrate their acquired firefighting knowledge and skills.

Award ceremony

We would also like to inform you that the award ceremony will take place at 12:00 noon. This will be conducted by Fire Director Peter Schörnig. The winners of the competition will be honored and their achievements recognized.

The youth firefighting competition offers a great opportunity to experience the commitment and skills of young firefighters at first hand.
