Vegetation fire successfully extinguished

The Jena fire department was called to a vegetation fire about 100 meters below the Lobdeburgklause at around 4 p.m. today. The fire had quickly spread over an area of 2 hectares in the meadow. Thanks to the rapid assistance of a total of 51 colleagues from the fire department, including teams from five volunteer fire departments, the fire was quickly brought under control. The operation was brought to a successful conclusion after three hours. No one was in danger at any time.

The Jena police department is now investigating the cause of the fire.
