Review and outlook: 1 year of mandatory reusable packaging

The Thuringian Reusable Conference will take place on 11.03.2024 from 10:00 to 14:30 (arrival from 09:30) at the IHK Erfurt (Arnstädter Str. 34, 99096 Erfurt). Together we will look back on 1 year of the reusable offer obligation. The participants can exchange experiences and discuss creatively how the reusable turnaround in Thuringia can be shaped together.

The conference serves as a platform for exchange and networking between municipalities, companies, cultural institutions, gastronomy and committed civil society. There will be interesting content and opportunities for discussion on the topic of reusable packaging at events and in the catering sector, pooling system providers will introduce themselves, hygiene issues will be clarified and joint challenges will be set for the coming months. A marketplace to get to know the Thuringian players is also planned.

Background information

Mission Mehrweg is the Thuringia-wide information campaign for switching from disposable to reusable packaging for food and drinks to go. It was launched on 01.06.2022. The city of Jena and 14 other Thuringian municipalities are taking part and helping to conserve resources and make our environment cleaner.
