Adaptation of the emergency care guidelines

The Thuringian Ministry of Education has adjusted the circle of children for whom emergency care can be offered at schools and kindergartens.

This means that now children for whom only one parent is directly responsible for the care of sick and dependent persons in the health and care system are also admitted to emergency care. Parents require a certificate from their employer that they belong to this group of people. Previously, all children in emergency care required both parents to work in the absolutely necessary infrastructure. This is still the case for all other occupational groups for whose children emergency care is provided.

Group C added

A new group (Group C) has also been included in the emergency care programme: Children whose care is required for child protection reasons. The decision was based on the fact that with the continued closure of the facilities, an important daily constant for these children who are particularly worthy of protection has been lost. For an admission of these children to emergency care, a certificate from the responsible youth welfare office is now required without justification.

Further adjustments concern a small number of professional groups. The current information letter to schools and kindergarten providers is available on the website of the Ministry of Education.

Modification of supra-regional rail connections

The Thuringian State Office for Construction and Transport has announced that the supra-regional rail connections will be thinned out starting next week:

  • Leipzig and Halle can still be reached hourly from Jena, but with a change of trains. Trains run every two hours.
  • On the Gera-Jena-Erfurt line, RE 3 will be completely omitted, but RE 1 and EB 21 will continue to run almost unchanged, i.e. there will still be two trains per hour.
  • The RE 15 Saalfeld - Jena (Abellio) is completely omitted. Please change to lines RB 25 and Franken-Thüringen-Express.
  • The RE 18 Jena - Naumburg - Halle (DB Regio) is completely eliminated. Please change to lines RB 25 and Franken-Thüringen-Express.

Please inform yourself about the changes in the timetable before departure.

Ice sales remain permitted for the time being

At the weekend there will be no adjustments to the Thuringian basic regulation - so ice cream can still be sold.
